I was an odd child. One that secretly preferred looking at spiders and tadpoles rather than actors and rock stars . I collected gumnuts not sporting cards or stamps. Now I’m returning to my childlike fascination and I don’t have to be secretive. Middle age gives you the freedom to be who you want to be, whether its is a fan of Haiku poetry, an avid collector of teaspoons or a Jane Austen obsessive (but Brontes are better). So here is the real me bending over the frog pond, looking under leaves and learning about natural wonders in my backyard and beyond.
